Pantera Electric Power Steering Kit.
This kit really makes driving and parking the Pantera a joy. I never realized how much I wanted power steering in my Pantera until I actually installed it in the car. Now I don't see how I could ever go back to manual steering. Just moving the car around the driveway is so much easier and enjoyable!
This is a bolt on upgrade and is easily reversible. Unlike the other power steering units available from other vendors, our unit only requires some slight clearance trimming. No bolt bosses are removed allowing you to bolt the stock unit back in at anytime.
The original column is not used and can be put on your shelf for the future.
The Kit includes:
- Pantera Steering Column and shaft integrated with a high quality Electric Power Steering Motor assembly
- Rear Mounting Bracket
- Lower Knuckle Joint with D-Shaft
- Wiring Harness with ECU
- Instructions
There is no core, no exchange and no return of any kind.
The amount of boost is controlled via a potentiometer. You simply set it and forget it unless you like to play. We have found that one setting for all driving conditions works GREAT, including race track/performance driving. In the event that you feel it has too much boost, simply turn it down like turning down the volume on the radio.
NOTE: The ignition switch, turn signal stock, steering wheel hub (and steering wheel), and the column shrouds will need to be moved from the old column to the new column.

This is a minimally noticeable addition to the interior of the Pantera. It takes some prep and a fair amount of skill to install, and by skill I mean willingness to color outside the lines a bit with a grinder and cutting wheel. The instructions are very clear and reasonably easy to follow once you are under the dash. One has to be willing to cut away native metal/frame pieces to install this, but once it’s in place it works flawlessly. It is silent in its function, not quiet …silent. The rheostat works as billed, and can be installed anywhere reasonably close to the steering wheel …including on the side of the column. For the price, it is a good strong piece of kit and well worth the investment.

Great system easy to install minimum metal removal. Good feel while driving, and excellent for parking.

Great power steering. Easy installation with minimal cutting under dash.
Far superior to old hydraulic system with good feel even with potentiometer turned nearly all the way down but plenty of power for parking and other tight situations with the power turned up.

I am always watching what SACC will come up with next. I have to wait for my Pantera to install since its in the paint shop. Quality looks good and have friends that love the new power steering kit.

Very easy and fast install. Straight forward with minimal cutting under the dash. It took me about two hours with the dash in to mount everything and wire it up. I just finished trying it out - it is not a sloppy steering feel but quite tight and makes steering with my wide body very easy. As most of you know how hard it is to turn the steering at a stop with wide tires, this solves it.
